A nail in a laddu!
By CT reporter
MANGALORE : In the recent past, it has become very much common to find some insects like cockroaches in hotel dishes. As if an addition to this list, this time it was not a hotel product but a bakery product and not a cockroach but a nail. This was informed to The Canara Times by the customer himself who is a retired DySP.
According to the retired DySP Shantappa, he who had purchased laddu from a bakery at Kulshekhar in the city recently, had taken the same home and had given it to a child and that a small old rusted nail was found in the child’s mouth, when accidentally noticed by the mother, thus averting a major danger.
He has even blamed the bakery authorities of blatant negligence while preparing the bakery items.
This is just an instance to prove the carelessness of hotel and bakery people while preparing food items, though the task needs utmost care and hygiene.
