The Congmen who betrayed Khader

MANGALORE: Several interesting aspects are slowly coming out after the Ullal elections. While it has now remained no secret that many JD(S) workers themselves voted for the Congress instead of their own candidate, reports are coming in that some Congressmen who were close to Khader and were seen along with him,, had ditched him by campaigning for the JD(S) candidate in a hush hush manner.
It is learnt, these party men had been in touch with JD(S) leaders as their hands had been sufficiently greased by a JD(S) minister.
They being in the Congress had worked for the JD(S) candidate by telephoning their near and dear ones and asking to vote for Natekal instead of Khader, who they described as the best candidate.
Even Khader is aware of this fact. But he has not bothered much.
Meanwhile, there are several in the party who have already begun pulling legs of Khader as they are very well aware that Khader has greater chances of becoming a minister in case the Congress comes to power in the next elections, particularly as there are no other prominent Muslim leaders in the district from the Congress.
