Officer comes tottering to TP meet!

By CT reporter
MANGALORE : The Mangalore taluk panchayat meetings often make news, but for odd reasons. This time -thanks to an officer- an unusual incident took place in the meeting.
A senior officer of the department of agriculture who seemed to be drunk, came tottering to the meeting.
The officer who entered the venue at around one in the afternoon, tottering, somehow managed to grab a seat. A little later he was heard saying he had to speak something about the department vehicle and within minutes dozed off. The taluk panchayat president Gokuladas Shetty who noticed the officer asked him to walk out. A TP employee came to the officer, woke him up and the officer tottered his way back.
If this is one part of the story, there is something else that is quite interesting too.
Msot of the members arrive at the meeting venue late. Even after they arrive, they will be too busy attending to their mobile calls, while some others will be chatting. Most of the lady members remain tightlipped all through the meeting while only a few give voice to their oratory skills.
It is also interesting to note the same questions and issues raised at every meeting.
