Driving with covered nose!

MANGALORE : The condition of the National Highway No 17 at Mulki, Suratkal, Baikampady, Kulur and other places has turned so worse that today bus drivers are forced to drive with covered noses on these roads.
The smoke of dust arising out of the bad roads has made it imperative for the drivers who have tp pass through this road several times in a day.
There is no need to mention that the innumerous potholes here have made driving a nightmare, for -a driver who avoids one pothole has to confront another one in no time.
The bad roads not only cause damage to the vehicles, but also to the daily commuters many of whom complain of body aches.
Protests galore were held for the repair of the road, there was mud-slinging by political leaders, the district minister even set a deadline for the repair of the roads-but nothing happened, with the roads remaining as they are but also turning worser with the passing of each day.
